First Time Freshman Admission Requirements 

Regular Admission Requirements:

Hiwassee College admits First Time Freshman applicants who meet the following academic standards:

2.25 high school GPA
18 ACT composite score or 960-980 SAT Total

Provisional Admission Requirements:

Hiwassee College admits First Time Freshman applicants who meet the following academic standards:

2.0-2.24 high school GPA
15-17 ACT composite score or 850-950 ACT Total

Students admitted under provisional admission are given stipulations by the Admissions Committee to meet before regular admission into the college is granted. Potential stipulations are: retake the ACT or SAT, participate in English or math placement testing at new student orientation, or other stipulations as stated by the Admissions Committee.

 

Important Dates, Timeframes, and Other Information

The 2018-2019 FAFSA Start Date: October 1, 2018
Students are encouraged to begin their 2018-2019 FAFSA starting on this date. In order to receive any financial aid for the upcoming school year, students must complete the FAFSA. Priority Consideration Date: December 1, 2018
Applicants who submit their application, academic transcripts, and ACT/SAT scores by this date will receive consideration for the Hiwassee Priority Consideration Scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship will be notified by December 15. Click here to complete an application.

Enrollment Fee Deadline: May 1, 2019
