Why do you love working at HC?: Hiwassee College has been home for the past 7 years. As a student, I experienced first-hand the commitment the faculty and staff had to HC and its students. Now, I am on the other side of the coin, and I spend every day committed to helping students grow, learn, and achieve their dreams and goals. I truly have the best job in the world.

Fun facts: I met my husband at HC and we have been married since 2014! Also, I am, without a doubt, a cat lady, and the biggest Braves fan you'll ever meet #ChopOn.

 Hometown: Tellico Plains, TN

Education: A.S., Hiwassee College

Why do you love working at HC?: This is very much my own backyard. Home is just over one of the hills, so I have grown up with the college in the background of my life. Hiwassee was the place where I came into my own as a student in a number of ways. I found my appreciation for the arts and I had a number of instructors who instilled in me a solid foundation when it came to learning and interacting with the world outside of East TN. As an employee that feeling can be found in my office. I work with a great staff that wants the best for me as an employee. I am proud to have been a student of this college, and am even more proud to serve it as an Admissions Counselor.

Fun facts: I am a movie lover. If you are having trouble remembering a certain movie or actor, chances are I will have seen it, or at least have heard about it. I am a constant reader, always having my nose buried in the pages of a new book (the fantasy genre is my favorite). Speaking of fantasy, I collect and paint miniature figures to display and use in my myriad of board games.
