Transfer Student Admission Requirements 

Transfer Student Requirements:

Transfer students must earn 30 hours or more of college credit to be considered a transfer student. All transfer credit will be evaluated by the Registrar prior to registration for classes.

Hiwassee College admits Transfer applicants who meet the following academic standards:

30 or more earned college credit.

2.25 cumulative college GPA.

Non-Traditional Student Requirements:

First time students over the age of 21 may be admitted with satisfactory scores or by submitting high school and/or college transcripts, along with ACT/SAT scores, if available. If no ACT/SAT score is available, the student will participate in English and math placement testing.

Important Dates, Timeframes, and Other Information

The 2018-2019 FAFSA Start Date: October 1, 2018
Students are encouraged to begin their 2018-2019 FAFSA starting on this date. In order to receive any financial aid for the upcoming school year, students must complete the FAFSA. Priority Consideration Date: December 1, 2018
Applicants who submit their application, academic transcripts, and ACT/SAT scores by this date will receive consideration for the Hiwassee Priority Consideration Scholarship. Recipients of this scholarship will be notified by December 15. Click here to complete an application.

Enrollment Fee Deadline: May 1, 2019
Admitted students must pay their enrollment fee by this date in order to secure their place in the upcoming school year. To pay your enrollment fee, please contact the Hiwassee College Business Office at (423) 420-1235 or click here to pay online.
