Horseback Riding Lessons

Hiwassee College offers horseback riding lessons at its Equestrian Center. Whether you are a novice or an experienced rider, we can help you improve your riding skills.

Our riding instructor, Marge Williams, offers classical dressage and balanced seat lessons for students that are new to riding or for advanced riders.  Whether you are aiming for the show ring or just striving to be a better rider, proper equitation is the foundation for every rider.  Lessons focus on the correct development of classical seat through traditional exercises, as well as centered riding methods and techniques for correct application of the aids for a balanced position.  Emphasis is on the communication with the horse.  Safety, of course, is priority and will be taught in each lesson.
Marge also offers western riding, equitation, and hunt seat.  She has taught riding lessons for over 20 years to students of all ages.  She has a proven show record in many disciplines, and she can help any student attain their goals.
