Cost of Attendance Budgets

Each year, Hiwassee College develops student expense budgets (cost of attendance), using US Department of Education guidelines.  These are used to determine students’ financial need at Hiwassee.  Students’ expense budgets include the approximate direct cost (tuition, fees, on-campus room and board) as well as the indirect cost (allowances for the cost of books and supplies, transportation, food, housing, and personal expenses).  These expense budgets represent the maximum amount of financial aid that students may receive from all sources, including student loans.

Direct costs are all items you pay to Hiwassee College.

Indirect cost are costs incurred by you while you attend Hiwassee College, but not paid to Hiwassee College.
